24 August is the birth anniversary of the great revolutionary Shivaram Hari Rajguru who was an accomplice of Bhagat Singh and Sukhdev. Though they came from different regions of undivided India, they understood the common language of Maa Bharati – love for Mother India.
At the age of 15 he left home to join the heart of the revolutionary movement and walked 6 days to reach Varanasi. At sixteen, he joined the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association, aiming to overthrow the British colonists.
He died for the country at an age when most youths dream of careers.
